Chlamydia expert Peter Timms from USC says the vaccine helps prevent koalas with chlamydia from developing disease symptoms and protects uninfected koalas from infection

Researchers from the University of Sunshine Coast are confident they are “heading in the right direction” to get a vaccination for the chlamydia bacterial infection that is sending thousands of koalas blind and infertile.
